Ummul Quraa’s Two Year Arabic Language Program Now Open to Female Residents of Jeddah & Makkah

pencil erasersWonderful news! Female residents of Makkah and Jeddah are presently allowed to attend Ummul Quraa University’s two year ‘Arabic Language program. Don’t be discouraged by your age. It is no longer an aspect to be considered. Alhamdulillaah, women well into their 30’s and 40’s are in attendance.

In Shaa Allaah go with your husband/mahram to fill out and drop off your completed application.

You can not attend regular university classes after completing the program. No monthly stipend be will given. No housing will be provided. Nonetheless, the opportunity to learn ‘Arabic at this prestigious university is enough!

Effat College (Jeddah) accepts international students from around the globe. The admissions requirements also apply to international applicants interested in studying at Effat. 

Effat College can arrange student visa for applicants outside the Kingdom. The requirements are as follows:

 

  1. Visa application form has to be filled out
  2. Two passport size photographs
  3. Full scanned copy of passport. (include all pages and ensure that the passport is valid for at least one year)
  4. A letter from the father (if single)/husband confirming that he supports the application
  5. Confirmation if the student will be staying with her guardian or at the College residence. (The Guardian can just state # 4 and 5 in one letter undersigned by him.)
  6. Copy of high school certificate and copy transcript from the school
  7. Stamped copy transcript from the college (if the student is a transfer student)
  8. A signed letter written by the student states
    1. Full name
    2. Nationality
    3. Passport number
    4. Place and date of issue
    5. The high school you graduated from and its location (city and country)
    6. The college you are studying at and its location
    7. Your major
  9. SAR 2000/- ($ 550/-) visa processing fee
