Su’aad enjoyed herself at “Mama et Moi” play and activity center. She cried when it was time to leave. Before arriving, the director told me that there would be lots of children there however; no one was there when we arrived. *I’m not saying that the director lied – don’t misunderstand me …smiles. I’m just sharing my experience as it was.*
Su’aad had the place all to herself…bummer. I really wanted her to interact with other children. She’s an only child therefore, social play is necessary. She’s in the house with me everyday and lately her outings consist of holding mommy’s hand while running business errands. That’s no real fun for a three year old.
Anyhow…
The children are allowed to do whatever they want. They can play in the ball pit, color, read fun books, jump on the mini trampoline, hoola-hoop, or go play in the sand-pit/swing set in the backyard amongst many other things. There are toys and rockers all over the place.
The floor is carpeted (nice and thick) and the windows are tall/safe and allow the sun to shine in (not like a lot of places here – dark bat caves). The center is very big, bright and colorful. The only thing I did not like was the music (you can ask them to turn it off).
The maids were very nice and attentive. One lady named Josephine was especially nice to Su’aad. She played with her so much so that I joked to myself and called the place “The Maid and Me.”
I was supposed to get a “free trial” like the ad said on face book, instead I was asked to pay the $35 SAR fee:( *Maybe the free trial expired and the staff forgot to update their site (?)…don’t know.
I don’t think that I’ll return anytime soon as I’d like to check out other centers, In Shaa Allaah we’ll visit again in the future. I want more than just a play center for ‘Aady. I’d like for her to learn and play at the same time. If she’s only going to run and jump around, we can go to the park for free:)
