  2. Yes, there are opps for women as well. Let me ask about their preference (tefl or celta) and get back to you In Shaa Allaah.

  3. jazakAllahu khairan for your efforts. mashaAllah ever since i started reading your blog, you have been a positive instrument in encouraging sisters and brothers (families) in trying to make hijra to KSA. may Allah, azza wa jal, continue to bless you with the enthusiasm that you have to give to your sisters/brothers what you have for yourself…ameen!

  4. As salaamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh. I was told that they only ask to see the CV. Basically, they hire teachers already living and working in the Kingdom.

Do they issue Visas? – No.

Jazaakillaahu khairan for your du’aa ukhtee.

    Haneefah.

  6. As salaamu Alaikum Sister Haneefah,

Can you kindly provide some info to me? I am an American Muslimah.

Is it acceptable for sisters to work in Riyadh/Jeddah in a corporate position? I have over 15 years of professional experience and am lobbying hard (with my husband’s full permission) for one of several recently posted job opportunties in Saudi Arabia within my company. The hope is to relocate my family for a 2 to 5 year assisgnment.

If Allah manifests such an opportunity, I would probably have to report to work three to six months before my husband and the rest of the family would be able to join me completely.

How much is needed monthly for a family of five to live in a 4 or 5 bedroom please?

    Jazaka Allah khairan
    Aliya

  7. Wa ‘alaikumus salaam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh. There are many women here holding corporate positions.

If this particular company really wants you, try hard to negotiate a contract that will allow your family to come with you. At first, my husband’s boss only wanted him to come and said that he would send for us later. My husband did not accept this and said either we come together or they can look for someone else. His boss said ok and paid for all of us to come.

Living expenses for a big family – I have no clue (my family is small). Maybe another sister can provide you with estimates In Shaa Allaah.

I hope it all works out for the best.

  8. As salaamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh. A nice spacious apt. is estimated around 9,000 – 10,000 SAR every 6 mos. (depending on where you live). This is about $400 – $500 USD per mo.

When I say spacious, I mean 3 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, 2 half bathrooms, a large kitchen, 1 large den, and a front room (that people usually don’t use for anything except decoration).

  11. Assalamu alaikum,

I am inquiring about this language institute,
The Canadian Creative Center, I do not know
much about the company and therefore I would
like to inquire about the working conditions
    and salary at the school?

What are the sentiments of the students, and
    how old are they?

Also, is this a place where someone can expect to work longterm or that would not be a realistic objective?

Anyway, your response ASAP would be apprecaited
    Ma Assalama

  12. Wa ‘alaikumus salaam. I don’t know much about this center. I posted the info as an FYI. I’ll ask someone who has worked there to assist you In Shaa Allaah.

  13. As salaamu ‘alaikum. I was just informed that CCC is an adult learning center, pays on time (most of the time), not a place that you’d want to work long term.

No info on the sentiments of the students or exactly how much one makes per month.
