  2. As salaamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh. They say that they’re upon Quraan and Sunnah, Wallaahu Aa’lam. We accept this from them unless we see otherwise.

Ahlul ‘Ilm spoke on this issue already – http://www.bakkah.net/interactive/q&a/aawa007.htm

There’s more from other scholars, I just have to find the articles. I’ve been here for nearly two years and I don’t know of an ‘Arabic language center ran solely by the Salafees.

As for me (based on the fataawaa of the scholars), so long as they are not calling to corruption, false ideologies, or trying to hold hands and sing in a Soofi circle, I’ll be there:) – It’s either that, or sit at home by myself doing nothing. Again, this is a personal choice.

    Wa feeki baarakallaah.

Jazakillahu khayr ya Umma Su’aad. Na’am, i agree with you walhamdulillah. Just want to be more alert if that centre is not upon Salafiyyah. I always thought that since Saudi Arabia is the land of tawheed everything on it are upon sunnah. What a silly me…

May ALLAH Protect us and Assist us in everything that is pleasing to HIM ameen.

    Barakallahu feeki ya ukhtee.

  12. Assalamu alaikum ya ukthi, I’ll like to know if the centre is wheelchair accessible? I use a powered wheelchair. Also, how far is it from Mushrefa district? Jazzak Allahukhairan

    Comment by Rafia — January 1, 2009 @ 6:04 am

  13. As salaamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh dear sisters. Check the new schedule above for dates, fees, etc. Sorry about the flyer being cut off, I’m trying to fix it now. Let me know if you’d like me to E-mail it to you directly.

~ Rafia, I don’t know for certain if the school is wheelchair accessible or not (it didn’t appear to be when I was there, Allaahu Aa’lam). Please ask the director (sister Somaya – 662 8277).

As for feedback: I enjoyed my time there. The atmosphere is homey, relaxed, yet professional looking. The staff and students were a pleasure to be around. I’m not sure who you’ll have as a teacher, but if you get Bushra, In Shaa Allaah you’ll benefit from her.

My class was mixed (we were all on different levels in regards to the language). Despite it all, Bushra did a great job at sticking to the curriculum/staying on track, breaking down points of grammar and getting everyone to participate orally. Prepare yourself and be ready to speak with her and your classmates everyday.

She did her job well, Tabaraakallaah. I was impressed with her ability to understand what her students needed from her and her wit to come up with examples to make sure the concepts were understood.

  19. Wa`alaikumussalaam wa-Rahmatullahi wa-Barakaatuh, brother Saad!
    Jazana Allahu wa-iyyaakum khayran inshaa-Allah.
We also receive requests from men who want to learn Arabic, but unfortunately we don’t have enough room for another department to be established besides the women’s; for we are sharing the place with Hayatul-E`jaz al-`Elmi fil-Qur’an wa-Sunnah(women commission)- therefore, I can’t decide over such a thing myself.
Additionally, we conduct Arabic classes for women in the evening, as well.
Anyway, I will bring this issue to the attention of those in charge and let you know, soon inshaa-Allah.
