Video of a Sand Storm in KSA
As salaamu ‘alaikum. I saw the “aftermath” of minor sand storms here, Subhaanallaah, the sky looks as if it were dyed with Henna and everything is covered with dust.

As Salaamu Alaikum,
I liked to know what and how do residents there take precautions when a sandstorm happens? Ya Allah, is this one of the reasons why men in regions where sand storms occur wear the gutra? Subhana Allah I have never seen anything like this.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
as salaamu ‘alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa barakatuh!
Subhanallahi! That looks pretty dangerous. I would like to know do they sound some type of alarm and warn the people to take cover as they do here in America where I live for tornados? What steps do they take for their sand storms? From the video once the sand comes your way you can not see a thing.
Barakallahu feek!

In my many travels, I have picked up foreign vocabulary for certain situations that seem to fit a life event perfectly, even more than in English. When I was in arabia in 1987, I wittnessed a HABOOB. I use this word to describe any major issue in English. You must take a look at this video to understand the concept of a HABOOB:

Umm Rashad and Umm Yusuf, I have no idea how the locals prepare for these things. I need to find out In Shaa Allaah asap!
Laili, Dolores and Khaifia, I appreciate your comments.
